President's Message

SPRINGTIME & SOMETHING NEW!

I have the pleasure, for the first time, to address you as ladies and gentleman. Our newest member is Mr. Paul Lightfoot. Mr. Lightfoot is showing the potential of being a really great quilter. Look out ladies; you better get your game together.

Our fifth anniversary celebration, and first quilt show are in the planning stages. We will give you updates as we get solid information. We will need volunteers for committee and specific duties. In order to make these events a success, we need help from everyone.

The Michigan State Fair is coming soon. As you know, we will be there throughout the run of the Fair demonstrating quilting as well as collecting get well wishes for our charity quilts. The usual dates for the Fair are the thirteen days leading up to and including Labor Day. I will give you the exact dates when I am notified. Please, make arrangements to give us some of your time at our GLAAQN booth. The staff at the fairgrounds has been very accommodating to us and appreciates the work we do.

If anyone has knowledge of quilt shows or related activates, please, let one of the board members know. We have a newly formed Entertainment and Travel Committee. They will coordinate these events for us.

Please, keep in mind it is time to renew your membership.
